Are you on Instagram? Are you into fragrance? Have you tried or do you own black owned fragrances? If you aren’t you’re missing out on some big cultural moments and community coming together. I “officially” joined Fragrancetok around April 2025 and then joined Instagram community soon after. I am finding that this week in particular, February 1st to 7th, 2026 to be the most community forward and fun week i’ve probably ever had.
Almost as fun as the preparing for Scent Xplore.
There is a bunch of black perfumers, black creatives, and all of their allies making videos, posts, blogs, discounts, samples, giveaways, events, and so much more all in one week. This is also in celebration of black history month. To be apart of black community is to know black history is being made everyday.

Part of my mission, and my activism as a visibly black, afro-latina, fat, femme, queer presenting person is to uplift the communities I am apart of. I also have a now global audience and platform that watch my videos, shop my posts, read my blogs. You hear my voice. You see me. I also hope you support and see some of the businesses I highlight.
Here is my video contribution and i’ll highlight some of the brands i own and some fragrances I recommend.
E Beauty Collection
A perfumer who makes inspired by and original formulas that was absolutely amazing. I own, and highly recommend Eutopia. This is inspired by Vanille Planifolia by Guerlain. The longevity on this fragrance is actually insane. I sprayed my clothes days ago and my winter coat and scarf still smell like it.
Samir Grey
One by Samir Grey is a fragrance that pops up on my FYP (for you page) at least once a month with such amazing reviews. I was able to purchase a decant from a friend and I was blown away. Sweet creamy vanilla with florals and fruity notes. Its definitely not like most typical vanillas. The fragrance is based on the experience the perfumer had in losing their mom and was looking to make something that feels like a warm hug.
A new black owned fragrance brand that came out of the door swinging. I had the pleasure of trying Cashmere and Sugar before it sold out. Its a warm comforting sweet, but not so sweet, vanilla with notes of Almond and Cashmere. I said in my review video of this fragrance its the perfect comforting, cozy, rainy day fragrance.
I have the pleasure of owning Justin B’s creation V.S.O.P but he has moved on to bigger, better, and newer collections. VSOP is the perfect boozy scent that leans masculine but wears well on everyone and anyone. Its my top favorite boozy fragrance that I own in my collection and with that recommendation alone I hope you can try some of his new collections and follow along on his journey.
By the time you might be reading this, I will own my third fragrance oil by Cillage Fragrances. I met the owner on Tiktok and she is kind, warm, and has a great nose for vanillas. She is a certified vanilla queen. I purchased both of her releases 1025 and SFTB (Something for the boys) and both have blown me away. Make sure to follow her and see when she releases new fragrances.
Julianna’s Perfume
Words cannot describe the look on my page when I received both of my bottles for the first time in the mail. You can actually see my video here. Before Words is simply one of the best vanilla fragrances I have ever smelt and its very affordable.
Redoux is a fragrance house I learned about on Tiktok. The fragrances I have tried are mostly freeing, bright, and fun but, one caught me off my guard. I purchased a sample of Silver Lining which is a cashmere sweater and kitten fur-esque fragrance. To my knowledge, a new subsect of fragrances where people want to smell like kittens and warm milk. I get the appeal its grounding and comforting and that is this fragrance in a bottle.
Harlem Perfume Co
If I could recommend one, and one is very hard to go, I would say Showgirl is such a gorgeous fragrance. Its pretty, brunch, and good times all wrapped up in a bottle. This fragrance is also listed in my article of the my top fragrances of 2025. This was a gifted fragrance from the brand and I fell inlove with it.
The BEST marshmallow fragrance you can ever find hands down. Created by a black woman perfumer. This is such a cult classic amongst those on social media and beyond. Following their page is important to see when the newest drops release.
Brown sugar babe
Undeniably, hands down, Hot chocolate consistently remains my most used fragrance by the brand. This one also consistently stays in stock so I know others love it as much as I do. You can see my entire collection of Brown Sugar Babe Oils here and my rankings on Tiktok.
Brown Girl Jane
Brown Girl Jane is the epitome of pretty girl fragrances. They are soft, sweet, and the bottles are a work of art! It’s hard to pick one to highlight but Chalet is my current favorite.
Savior Faire
I recently learned of this brand through another content creator on Tiktok and I think Soul Cafe, which is the one that they mentioned was worth the buy. This is a soulful fragrance house with complex notes.
Oui the people
This is a brand that I have every hydrating body oil and perfume they launched and I plan to keep buying every single launch. There’s something so calming, nostalgic, and deeply beautiful about Souk Honey. This perfume gives you a scent bubble that develops with your day. The heat on your skin makes it better and better.
ORENA FRAGRANCES
Everything I have purchased from this brand has been amazing. The Juicy Apple Body Butter in particular is one of my absolute favorites and layers with everything!
ALLOY STUDIO
Kinesis was my first exposure to the brand. This is a fragrance that is supposed to resemble florida water. I would say florida water is what you make it. Its about putting intention through water, spices, plants, and creating something that gives peace, manifestation, and protection. This is such a gorgeous fragrance and there’s so much to see when it comes to this brand.
Fenty Beauty
Fenty Eau de Parfum is a fragrance that is polarizing because of its bright citrus notes and heavy rose. This is a grown and sexy fragrance. This is the epitome of turning 30. The 20’s are over and you’ve lived now it’s time to pick up something that gives experience, put together, and shedding the fear you once had when you were younger. This fragrance says I’ve arrived. I am here. Forever a classic and one to resmell if its been a while.
OCTAVIA MORGAN
If I had to pick one, and that’s very hard to do, I would pick L’affaire. It smells like an island vacation in a bottle. Its sweet, fruity, and makes you feel confident. I learned about this house when it first arrived to Ulta in 2025. This is a brand I personally would love to see on shelves in every store but mainly found online. I have seen their discovery sets more in stores and worth picking up. Congrats to Octavia Morgan for their 1-year anniversary in Ulta as well.
World of Chris Collins
This is my third purchase from Chris Collins. I ordered his discovery set when he first appeared at Sephora to getting Lust Oud Delice which is my date night scent to this beauty here. Forbidden Apple Croque Moi is apple done sexy. This smells amazing on its own and layers beautifully with other fragrances. Truly such a beauty.
Zernell Gillie
Zernell Gillie, the perfumer, is a chicago based DJ who share both his love for fragrances and music through his artistry. Blues is his newest launch that’s one of my favorites but R&B is also one my favorite from his life. It’s such a beautiful balance of Guava, Write rose, Papaya, and White Chocolate. There’s no other fragrance like it.

MAISON CHANCEUX
I first bought a discovery set from the brand and then decided to buy my first full bottle. I purchased Winter Tea not knowing what to expect but excited to smell it and it definitely exceeded my expectations.
Koroma Aromas
This was one of the first black owned I got exposure to from Tiktok and I purchased the discovery set. Watching from afar I get to see brands grow and show us on their social platforms what they are doing, making, and when they are releasing. I enjoy seeing the behind the scenes. Sugar Hill is not a fragrance I own, yet, but one I am excited to try as it’s a new release from the brand.
